Healthy Bodies, Sharper Minds

Research shows students who eat smart and move focus better, have better test scores and have fewer behavior problems. We can make a difference in healthy options for our students at King Springs. When making choices for snacks or event foods, please consider the following:

  • Popcorn, pretzels or rice cakes
  • Fresh fruit or veggie assortment
  • String cheese/ cheese sticks
  • Low-fat, low sugar granola bars
  • Low-fat pudding or squeezable yogurt
  • Animal crackers
  • Dried fruit or 100% fruit snacks
  • Angel food cake (plain or topped with fruit)
  • Yogurt parfaits (yogurt with fruit, granola or crushed graham crackers
  • Trail mix- low-sugar cereal mixed with dried fruit, nuts & pretzels
  • Apple slices with yogurt dip
  • Whole grain crackers & low-fat cheese
  • Popsicles made with 100% fruit juice
  • Drinks – 100% fruit juice, low-fat milk or water

Please avoid items that are high in fat and sugar. Students love treats of any kind including those listed above. Together we can make King Springs The Best, No Less!
