What is the Dads’ Club?
- A school based group of involved fathers
- We want to increase every father’s involvement in their children’s lives and education.
- As a Dads’ Club member you can be involved as much or as little as you are able.
The Dads’ Club mission is to encourage dads’ to get involved in their children’s education at King Springs Elementary. Our dads’ involvement will enhance the school experience for all the children and set a great example of community involvement and “giving back”.
Our goals are:
- Fathers participating in school setting, school events, and their child’s daily activities
- To help you build a stronger bond with your children
- To create a network of involved and active fathers
Who benefits?
- Fathers – develop a closer relationship with their children
- Children – realize their fathers value their education
- Schools – experience greater parental involvement and assistance in the school setting
Our Focus:
- We plan to become known for our signature event which will be the “KSE -Golf Tournament”.
- We will designate a portion of the processed from this event to go to the 5th grade class to be used for a class project of their choice. Dads Club representatives will work with the 5th grade teachers to come up with a short list of options that will then be voted on by the class. Our goal for this year is to designate $500 and secure a local community organization to match this amount. Therefore our commitment is to donate $1000 to the 5th grade class project.
- We will sponsor a monthly cleanup crew for the school grounds
- We will ask everyone who joins the Dads’ Club to volunteer at least one half day during the school year.
