<h2>SCIENCE DAY!!</h2>
<p>On <span style="color: #0000ff;">April 27, 2012</span>, King Springs Elementary will host a fun and educational experience for all students to remember, Science Day. With the theme of “<span style="color: #0000ff;">Tell Me Why</span>?”, students will experience a full day of hands on activities and have interactions with “experts” to really see how science is involved in our everyday lives. We have partnered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, IBM, Criminal Investigation Division (CID), Big Thinkers, Emory School of Nursing, and Emory Adventist Hospital to provide the students with an educational experience beyond their wildest imaginations. <span style="color: #0000ff;">Students at King Springs Elementary will learn about scientific aspects involving engineering, health, criminal investigations and environmental science.</span></p>
<p>We need your help to make this event a success.  You can volunteer in one of two ways</p>
<p><strong>1.      </strong><span style="color: #339966;"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Chaperones</span></strong></span><strong>  &#8211; </strong>You have the opportunity to spend a fun-filled, “infotaining” day with your child’s class!!  We need <span style="color: #339966;"><strong>2</strong> <strong>Chaperones</strong> for each classroom</span> to escort students to the various sessions, monitor behavior and assist with bathroom breaks.  Chaperones would need to commit to the full day (<span style="color: #339966;">7:50 am – 2:30 pm</span>).  Please RSVP to your child’s teacher by Friday, April 13th. <strong></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"> </span></strong>Due to this event, students will be provided with sack lunches from the cafeteria, or they can bring their own lunch.   Chaperones will have lunch with their students and may also purchase a sack lunch from the cafeteria or bring their own lunch.  When you confirm your volunteer availability with your teacher, please also state if you would like to purchase a sack lunch.</p>
<p><em><span style="color: #339966;"> Please RSVP your availability and any requests for a sack lunch to your teacher by Friday, April 13th.</span></em></p>
